ABOUT

ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

I am a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, specializing in treating children and teens with mental health concerns.  While I am experienced in treating a variety of disorders (as noted below), I have a particular interest and expertise in treating anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorders.  I thoroughly enjoy working with young people and their families, and believe that treatment should be holistic, collaborative, and carried out in a supportive and empathic environment.  I welcome patients and families from all backgrounds, religions, genders, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations.  I employ evidence-based medication treatments (when appropriate), lifestyle interventions, brief therapy interventions, and recommendations for more extensive therapy interventions when necessary.

  • University of Michigan, Residency in General Psychiatry - 2015

EXPERIENCE

Prior to starting my private practice, I was a clinical instructor in the section of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan, where I co-lead the Child OCD and Anxiety Disorders Program, taught residents and fellows, and had my own busy clinic.  I also provided consultation to school-based mental health practitioners around the state through the Michigan Collaborative Care Program. I completed my residency and fellowship at the University of Michigan.  I am a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Michigan Psychiatric Society, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the Michigan Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
